Hormonal contraception in women, unfortunately, is one of the most popular (and convenient) contraceptive strategies available right now. And more unfortunate is the long term damage it can cause to a woman’s health. Conditions including blood clots, stroke, cancer and other chronic diseases with an inflammatory component are well documented potential consequences that women face when taking oral contraceptives.
