Eating Too Much Meat causes Heart Disease and Diabetes

MeatA study was just published that shows a 25% increased risk of metabolic syndrome (a precursor to heart disease and diabetes) by consuming meat twice per day as compared to consuming meat twice per week.
This is good- the more information that gets out to the public that eating too much meat leads to disease- the better for our planet. One of the main contributors to global food shortages is higher meat consumption driven by a growing number of prosperous consumers in India and China. A 10% cut in global meat consumption can reduce greenhouse emissions from agriculture and improve the health of rich and poor nations.
